To make The Shakespeare Challenge even more accessible this year, Shakespeare in Action is introducing an online auction starting April 5 at 10am until April 12th at 5pm.
We received such an incredible amount of donations from charitable organizations that we decided to open up the opportunity to bid to those who were unable to attend our fundraiser in person on March 29th and still want to participate and win some cool stuff to support youth arts programming!
Bid for a chance to win a trip to the AGO for 4 people, a wine tasting in Prince Edward County, and more!
What is the Shakespeare Challenge?
Now in its seventh year, community members from the corporate sector fearlessly take to the stage in productions of Shakespeare to raise funds for Shakespeare in Action’s educational programming, including this year raising support for our new permanent home in the Artscape Weston Common in Fall 2018. The event took place on March 29th this year.
With little to no acting experience, these brave participants put on a marvellous show for you so we can bring accessible Shakespeare to all.
Shakespeare in Action is a diverse theatre company that aspires to enhance the arts and education through exploring and performing Shakespeare’s plays. We are dedicated to fostering literacy, enhancing creativity and promoting speech arts by making the language and stories of Shakespeare accessible and relevant to young audiences, their families, and the community. Shakespeare in Action seeks to inspire audiences of all ages to discover Shakespeare’s universal truths in our everyday world, showing the influence classical theatre has within our communities.
