The AFP Greater Toronto Chapter is accepting nominations for the 2021 Philanthropy Awards to be held virtually on December 7, 2021. Established in 2001, this award recognizes individuals and community members who are making outstanding contributions to the field of philanthropy.
During this difficult time for the sector, it is important for us to acknowledge the dedication and perseverance of individuals and groups who are committed to causes that bring the community together and who inspire individuals to give. We want to acknowledge and celebrate the achievement of those who have made exceptional contributions to advancing philanthropy and more importantly, to improving the quality of life for Canadians and many around the world.
Taking time to recognize the impact of philanthropy has never been more important than in the time of COVID-19. While the awards celebration will be held virtually this year, it is vitally important to shine a light on the power of philanthropy to continue to impact our community and country for the better.
We are welcoming submissions for the following awards:
- Outstanding Philanthropist
- Outstanding Volunteer
- Outstanding Corporation
- Outstanding Foundation or Philanthropic Group
- Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy
- Mo Davies Small Organization Award for Excellence in Fundraising
- Outstanding Fundraising Professional
Nominators: Must be AFP Greater Toronto Chapter members.
Nominees: Fundraising Professional category nominees must be AFP members. Nominees in other categories are not required to be AFP members. Self-nominations are welcome.
The deadline for nominations is Friday, November 5, 2021 at 5 p.m.
AFP Greater Toronto Chapter will be hosting the Awards Ceremony virtually again this year to ensure the safety and health of all community members. Please ensure that any nominee or their representative is able to join us virtually for the ceremony on December 7, 2021 from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. ET.
We encourage you to please take a moment to nominate a community member, colleague, donor, organization and/or young person for one of these awards. During these challenges times, it is a powerful way to recognize outstanding contributions and inspire others to serve their community through philanthropy.
