Artnconnect: Mental Health Support Built for Artists
Artists face pressures that are often specific to working in the arts: unpredictable schedules and income, auditions and rejection, performance pressure, creative blocks, career transitions, burnout, and the challenge of separating personal identity from creative work.
Artnconnect is a new bilingual platform designed to help artists in Ontario connect with mental health professionals who understand the realities of the artistic sector.
Created by Artnsoul, Artnconnect was founded by French dancer, model and entrepreneur Chris Locko, whose own experience as a performer and krump dancer shaped the idea behind the platform.
After years of working, teaching, competing and creating within the dance community in France and North America, Chris saw how often artists were navigating pressure, isolation and personal challenges without knowing where to find professional support that understood their world.
Artnconnect was created to help bridge that gap.
How Artnconnect works
The platform is open to artists across disciplines. Artists create a profile describing their artistic practice, the challenges they would like support with, preferred language, availability and financial considerations.
Artnconnect then helps match them with verified mental health professionals based on factors including their specialties, familiarity with the artistic sector, language and availability.
Professionals on the platform include psychologists, psychotherapists and social workers. Each professional goes through Artnconnect’s three-level verification process, which considers regulated professional status, sensitivity to the realities of artistic practice and commitment to the platform’s quality standards.
Once matched, artists can review professional profiles and contact the practitioner directly. The therapeutic relationship, fees and arrangements remain between the artist and the mental health professional.
Is Artnconnect free for artists?
Yes. There is no fee to create an artist profile, receive matches or browse the profiles of professionals available through Artnconnect.
Artists pay only for sessions they choose to book, directly to the mental health professional.
Some participating professionals may offer sliding-scale rates or group sessions at their discretion, and many accept private insurance. Availability and fees are confirmed directly with the individual professional.

Artnconnect is currently serving artists in Ontario, with plans to expand across Canada.
