Claw Marks Theatre is seeking non-union performers for their upcoming Fall production of Woyzeck performing October 1-5 at Arraymusic’s The Array Space.
SUMMARY
Woyzeck is a tragic play by German playwright Georg Büchner. It follows Woyzeck, an impoverished ex-soldier and military barber who becomes the subject of science experiments to (unsuccessfully) support his family. Marie, his common-law wife and mother of their illegitimate child is unsatisfied in her life with Woyzeck. Marie then engages in an affair with the Drum Major, which drives already-unstable Woyzeck into a jealous rage, leading him to ultimately murder Marie.
