Directors Lab North is now accepting submissions from professional directors to participate in the 14th year of the Lab. We are looking for practicing directors with hands on experience to join us for a week long Lab of workshops, masterclasses, guest artist sessions and discussions around directing theatre today. The Lab is not a place for career advancement or resume building. We see it as a place to grow, meet other directors, think, and explore.
The Lab is by application only and only 25 applicants are admitted each year. Each participant is hand selected, ensuring a diverse background in theatrical exploration. Each participant will bring a distinct voice to the group, exposing you to practices and principles far from your own theatrical experience, adding to each director’s technical and philosophical arsenal. The Lab schedule and guest artists will be revealed the first day of the Lab to participants, as it is based on the interests and needs of those accepted into the Lab that year.

2024 Lab Dates: Monday June 17 to Sunday June 23, 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, everyday
Cost: The Lab is free to attend with only a $25 admin fee
