Latest prizes awarded by the Council
With the John Hobday Awards, the Canada Council for the Arts is proud to recognize the significant contributions of arts managers in professional arts organizations from Canada by providing support for professional development or mentoring opportunities.
The 2025 winners are:
Evlyne Laurin
Professional Development and Renewal Award
Evlyne Laurin is the founder of Assemblage, a boutique firm focused on creative legacy stewardship. An accredited member of the International Society of Appraisers, she brings over a decade of experience helping artists, collectors and estates preserve cultural value.
Evlyne will use the award to advance her training in artist legacy planning and attend the Aspen Institute’s 2025 Seminar for Artist-Endowed Foundation Leaders.

Gabrielle Martin
Mentorship Award
Gabrielle Martin is a cultural producer, choreographer and arts leader with over 20 years of experience in live arts. Since 2021, she has served as Artistic Director of the PuSh International Performing Arts Festival, where she leads multidisciplinary programming and industry engagement with a focus on equity.
Gabrielle will undertake a year-long mentorship with Judy Harquail to deepen her expertise in international engagement and cultural diplomacy.
