Clay and Paper Theatre is seeking 1-2 new members for our Fundraising Committee. We’re a Toronto-based outdoor large-scale puppet and community engaged theatre company with over 30 years of work in public space, and we’re growing our fundraising capacity to match our ambitions.
We want to be upfront: we’re not starting from scratch, and we’re not looking for direction. We have an experienced artistic leadership team, a clear multi-pronged fundraising strategy, and a committed board. What we need is more hands on deck – people who can help us execute on what we’ve already mapped out, and who bring skills and networks that complement what we have.
We’re particularly interested in connecting with people who have experience in one or more of the following:
- Corporate and donor outreach – relationships with businesses or individuals who support the arts
- Event fundraising – planning and executing fundraising events
- Foundation and grant writing – experience pitching to foundations on behalf of small arts organizations
We’re also genuinely open to learning. If you have expertise in fundraising and want to share what works, we’re all ears, as long as you’re someone who leads by doing, not just advising.
The time commitment is one meeting per month (via Zoom) plus occasional email follow-up. Committee membership can also be a pathway to board involvement for the right person.
