PRODUCTION INFORMATION The Snow Queen is a fast-paced musical retelling of the beloved story of two royal sisters on an extraordinary journey of self-discovery, resilience, and love. Since 2016, this production has been delighting families across Canada, with performances scheduled coast to coast.
- Rehearsals: January in Toronto, with flexible scheduling to accommodate performer availability.
- Performances: Scheduled Saturdays and Sundays at 11 AM and 2 PM, with a break during the summer months (June-August). Must be willing to travel across Canada and have good weekend flexibility. The majority of shows take place in Ontario, primarily outside the GTA.
CURRENTLY CASTING UNDERSTUDY ROLES
Snow Queen: Princess turned Queen, struggling with powers she cannot control, leading her to a life of isolation and separation from loved ones, including her sister. Improv skills an asset. Vocal Range: Mezzo Soprano; mix/belt.
Snow Princess: The Ice Queen’s younger sister, a spirited and optimistic character with a fierce determination to reconnect with her sister and a tendency to act on impulse. Improv skills an asset. Vocal Range: Soprano; mix/belt.
Ice Harvester: A rugged, blue-collar type with an awkward charm, this unlikely hero is both loyal and protective. Must have strong comedic timing and improv skills. Vocal Range: Baritone.
COMPENSATION
- Per Show: $200 (typically $800 per weekend)
- Per Rehearsal: $100
- Travel and Per Diem: Provided
