Theatre Gargantua is seeking two emerging artists who are committed to pursuing a career in the performing arts. Funded in partnership with TD, this paid internship offers an opportunity for emerging artists to expand their skills and experience while observing and participating in Theatre Gargantua’s artistic creation cycle. Specifically, participants will attend all rehearsal and creative meetings while simultaneously assisting in areas of production (set, lighting, costumes, stage management, and director assistance). Throughout the internship, participants receive one-on-one mentorship from professional artists and participate in the creation of new, original work.
The program begins this fall and continues through performances of the first instalment of our latest cycle of work. The bulk of the internship will occur during the rehearsal and performances slated between September 21–November 15, 2026. There will be some pre-production/creative meetings prior to the start of rehearsals.

Rate: $5000 flat fee, paid in instalments
