Arbez Drama Projects seeks two actors for a 2026 Toronto Fringe KidsFest show, Old-Fashioned & New-Fashioned, written by Dr. John Sader and directed by Cam Johnston. Performances will take place at Young People’s Theatre.

We encourage actors with disabilities and of all ethnicities, genders, gender-identities and sexual orientations to apply. The rehearsals and performances will take place at accessible locations. Please include any accommodation requests in your submission.

AVAILABLE ROLES:

Please note: Ages and pronouns listed reflect the ages and pronouns of the characters.

Mrs. Old-Fashioned (she/her) 50+ (some singing required). An expert pie baker who has won the local pie baking competition several years in a row!

Mr. New-Fashioned (he/him) 20s to 30s. New to the neighbourhood and new to baking but excited to learn!

Tech Rehearsal

A tech rehearsal will be scheduled between June 25th and July 2nd (inclusive).

Artists must be available for the Tech Rehearsal and all Fringe Show Dates

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Artists will be signed to a CAEA Festival Policy. Payment will be a box office split.

Please submit a headshot and resume for consideration. Artists scheduled to audition will be asked to present a comedic monologue. Sides will also be available at the auditions. Please include any accommodation requests in your submission.

Please include ‘FRINGE AUDITIONS” in the Subject Heading and email your headshot and resume to: info@arbezdrama.com 

Deadline for submissions is Thursday, May 7th.
