Ahoy mates! The Captain’s Calling for crew to sail with A Pirate’s Life a new theatre and cruise production on the Toronto Islands.
The one hour and fifteen minute production is an interactive adventure where families with children aged 3-12 set sail and search for sunken treasure.
The role of ‘1st mate’ is a management position that requires full involvement in all aspects of the operation, from learning the ropes of management, hiring, training, scheduling, staffing,
merchandising, reception and customer service to eventually becoming a captain aboard the
vessel. This position is full time, requires competency in numeracy and technology as well as outstanding customer service aptitudes.
The 1st mate will be customer facing, handling the front desk reception, check in, reservations,
payment processing, retail store operation and till operation. The 1st mate will manage staff, set schedules and be the go to for the captain aboard the vessel.
What we’re looking for:
Experienced customer service representatives, with management experience, that have a background and love for the arts are outgoing individuals who love the outdoors and working with children. Experience in camps, teaching, or working with children an asset! Theatre and improv experience another asset! Can you sing/dance/play an instrument and are comfortable in front of an audience of playing a reasonably sized instrument in front of people!

Applications will be accepted through July with initial phone auditions/interviews followed by auditions in the flesh on the islands
Hours are 20-40 weekly based on productions, May-October
