ADC is excited to announce that Louise Plunkett will be joining our team as General Manager.
The creation of this new position will allow Gail to focus less on day-to-day operations and more on strategy, industry-relations, and planning. Louise will work out of the ADC office at 401 Richmond on a part-time basis, maintaining our regular office hours. While Gail focuses on the organization’s longer-term goals, she will remain accessible to members by appointment.
Louise comes to ADC from the School of Toronto Dance Theatre where she has served for almost ten years as the Student Services and Financial Aid Officer and Registrar. Prior to her time at the School, Louise held several positions at Canadian Stage including roles in Group Sales and most recently, Patron Services Manager. Louise is originally from Leeds, UK and after moving to Canada trained at George Brown Theatre School.
Louise has unflappable customer service skills and excels at financial management. She's going to be a huge asset to the ADC office and our membership. Louise will begin to transition into the newly created role on October 28th.
The ADC Executive and Board of Directors is thrilled to mark this new chapter of growth for the organization as we welcome Louise to the organization. We wish to extend our thanks to Gail for her ongoing leadership and vision, and to our membership more broadly for your ongoing contributions to the ADC as a strong national voice for designers.
