
We are looking for an energetic, resourceful, independent worker who is eager to take responsibility in this vibrant artistic community.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a fantastic team and play a crucial role in running an established organization. The position will entail late afternoon/early evening work from Monday through Thursday, and Saturday daytime work. Hours are flexible. Training will start early-mid August; position will start in September.
Administrative duties include:
• Answering phone and email
• Managing communications between faculty, staff, and clients
• Receiving clients in a warm and welcoming manner
• Managing accounts and processing payments (using JackRabbit Music software)
• Updating Google Docs and schedules with keen eye for detail
• Basic design (programmes, bio/headshot boards, etc)
• Working closely with General Manager and Artistic Director to ensure deadlines are met and follow-up is completed for all correspondence
• Keeping detailed notes on daily occurrences and relaying all notes to Manager after all shifts
Website Duties Include:
• Aiding in maintenance of www.bravoacademy.ca (HTML not required, but is an asset)
• Ensuring that website is accurate and up-to-date
• Posting schedules and general information for specific classes as needed
Off-Site Duties Include:
• Aiding in Front-of-House for performances in May & December (additional hours required)
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned
The successful applicant should demonstrate the following:
• Undergraduate degree or diploma (preferably in Arts Management/Administration or Arts & Culture)
• Police record check will be required upon hiring
• Love of music, musical theatre, and the performing arts
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Enjoys working with children, youth and teens
• Tact, diplomacy, and discretion in corresponding with faculty, staff, and clients
• Keen attention to detail
• Highly organized and self-motivated
• Strong computer skills (Experienced in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Publisher is an asset)
• Basic understanding of HTML is an asset
