The University of Lethbridge Faculty of Fine Arts is currently conducting a search for an Assistant Professor (Costume Design & Construction) tenure-track position in our Drama department (https://uleth.peopleadmin.ca/postings/2559).
Candidates must possess a terminal degree along with a demonstrated record of excellent research/creative activity in the area of theatrical costume design. Proficiency in at least one other area of theatrical design is also required.
The successful candidate will teach courses in costume design and construction, stage makeup, theatrical production, and other topics in her or his area of expertise. Teaching duties in other areas of the Department of Drama may be assigned. Participation in the MFA graduate program is required. The ideal candidate will display teaching excellence, evidenced by post-secondary teaching experience and a commitment to innovative educational practices.
The successful candidate is expected to maintain an active research and/or creative activity profile; further, she or he will have an interest and willingness to design for Department of Drama productions as a means of enhancing this profile.
