Application deadline: Wednesday April 17 2019
Theaturtle is seeking a part-time bookkeeper, starting as soon as possible and working on an ongoing basis.
Theaturtle is an independent Toronto and not-for-profit-based company, established in 1999 by Artistic Director Alon Nashman to create essential, ecstatic theatre that touches the earth and ignites the soul. Its name is derived from stories told in both Native Canadian and Jewish traditions that the world sits on the back of a turtle. More information about our work can be found here: https://www.theaturtle.com/. We are currently gearing up for an international tour of “CHARLOTTE: A Tri-Coloured Play with Music”, which premiered at Luminato in 2017. More info here: https://www.theaturtle.com/charlotte.html.
The bookkeeper will work with the artistic director on ongoing financial reporting and other related activities. This is an ideal position for anyone with a background in producing and arts administration looking for some extra work, can work remotely for the most part, and has a flexible schedule. Pay is an hourly rate of $22/hr. The number of hours per month will fluctuate depending on the company's activities per month.
If you are interested in this position or have any questions, please send an email with your resume and references to Sarah Thorpe, Executive Producer, at email@example.com, by the end of the day on Wednesday April 17 2019. Interview times will be arranged with selected candidates after the deadline.
