TIFF, a vibrant not-for-profit arts organization, is hiring for the position of: COORDINATOR, FESTIVAL PROGRAMMING (TIFF KIDS FESTIVAL)

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Festival Programming, this position will assist with, coordinate and oversee various administrative tasks around the programming, planning and execution of the TIFF Kids International Film Festival.

• Shall include but not be limited to:
• Providing support to Senior Manager in administrative duties, including: booking, scheduling, minute taking
• Researching film titles and assisting with data entry of film tracking information for the TIFF Kids and TIFF Next Wave Film Festivals into Artifax
• Soliciting films for the TIFF Kids Festival, as directed
• Creating presentations (i.e. Staff Meetings)
• Researching community guests and speakers to support the TIFF Kids film screenings
• Facilitating the TIFF Kids Juries Competition including administration, orientation and onsite supervision of the wranglers
• Creating film invitations for the TIFF Kids and TIFF Next Wave Film Festivals
• Creating discretionary hospitality invitations, as directed
• Assisting with data entry and proofing of the TIFF Kids and TIFF Next Wave Film Festivals’ schedule
• Update tracking reports, as directed
• Providing events support as required
• Assisting with budget tracking for the TIFF Kids Film Festival
• Oversight and creation of, onsite activities for the TIFF Kids Festival
• Assisting the Festival Programming staff with other administrative tasks as necessary
• Writing a detailed Festival Post Mortem report

• 2-3 years experience in film, education, arts administration and/or Public Programming is an asset
• Interest in children’s entertainment
• Knowledge of the film industry, children’s content and international cinema
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Mature personal judgment, exhibiting a high level of professionalism and diplomacy
• Ability to handle difficult situations and people with aplomb and grace
• Excellent phone manner, communication fluency and interpersonal strengths
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a deadline-oriented, fast-paced environment
