Remuneration: $40,000 - $45,000

Reporting to the Industry Programming Producer, the Coordinator, Industry Programming will be accountable for providing administrative support for year-round Industry programmes, including partner and alumni events, Writers’ Studio, and TIFF Micki Moore Residency. A team-player, they collaborate with colleagues and external partners to support world-class programming for Industry, with an emphasis on professional and creative development.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the application process for select Industry programmes
  • Coordinate the selection committee and/or jury for select Industry programmes
  • Support invitation process for participants in select Industry programmes
  • Coordinate participant experience for select Industry programmes including communication of programme and scheduling
  • Coordinate venue logistics including maintenance of records and guest details
  • Coordinate external Events related to Writers’ Studio
  • Coordinate the Project Book, Fellowships and Surveys for participants
  • Assist with Monthly Alerts and dedicated e-blast promotions by sourcing materials (including news, photos and hyperlinks)
  • Oversee social media for industry activity promotion and awareness (including planning and writing copy)
  • Other duties as assigned

CONTRACT DATES OR START DATE:

  • October 28, 2019 – May 8, 2020

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in the Canadian and international film industries
  • 2 Years experience in an administrative and organizational support role
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing needs
  • Background in copy generation and promotional writing
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to approach difficult situations with high level of tact and diplomacy
  • Detail oriented, experience with event databases and meticulous record keeping
  • Demonstrated ability to host guests with professionalism
  • Experience in live event production, or film festival coordination
  • Adaptable to a flexible work schedule including some evenings and weekends
