Toronto Dance Foundation is seeking a Director of Operations to join the team. This is a key role, collaboratively supporting resident organizations, TDT and School of TDT, and TDF’s long-term strategic objectives. Reporting to the management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the building and stewarding relationships with external stakeholders. This is a fulltime, salaried position with key responsibilities in the following areas:

• Manage overall building facilities ensuring high standards of maintenance, security and safety
• Oversee, schedule and supervise staff for front of house, cleaning, and maintenance, including fulltime and casual staff
• Oversee and monitor an operational annual budget of $250,000, meeting revenue targets and offering solutions for maximizing resources
• Research other sources of funding for building projects and capital improvement
• Undertake written proposals for public and private funding sources as required
• Act as a liaison to all outside vendors and rentals, managing these relationships including contractual expectations, invoicing and communications
• Develop policies and processes to ensure compliance relating to Health and Safety and to maximize the most efficient use of the space throughout the year
• Oversee communications to the community to raise profile of Winchester Street Theatre
• Collaborate closely with TDT and STDT on long-term planning including building improvements
• Other duties as assigned

You are a team player who has the ability to communicate effectively with management and those you supervise. As the next ambassador for the Winchester Street Theatre, you pride yourself in ensuring the building is a welcoming and safe space for the performing arts community and their audiences, seeking out opportunities to continually improve the space and processes.
