TIFF, a vibrant not-for-profit arts organization, is hiring for the contract position of: EDITORIAL INTERN
TIFF is excited to offer this internship as part of Canada on Screen, TIFF's yearlong celebration of Canada's 150th birthday in 2017. Made possible by Presenting Partners The Government of Canada, the Royal Bank of Canada and The Government of Ontario, Canada on Screen will begin in January and run throughout the year. The free programme will present moving-image installations, special events, special guests, an extensive online catalogue, screenings across the country, and a list of 150 essential moving-image works from Canada’s history based on a national poll of industry professionals.
Canada on Screen is a co-production between TIFF and three core project partners — Library and Archives Canada, the Cinémathèque québécoise, and The Cinematheque in Vancouver.
Through this programme TIFF aims to offer interns the opportunity to gain practical skills and work experience that will help launch successful careers in the film, not-for-profit, arts and cultural sector. We are committed to fostering an inclusive work environment and encourage individuals who reflect the diversity of our audiences and programming to join our ever-growing team, and be part of Toronto's cultural history.
Reporting to the Editorial Coordinator in “Department 30” (TIFF’s in-house Creative, Editorial, Digital Content, Marketing & Communications shop), the Editorial Intern will work in a fast-paced environment as a member of the Editorial team during publication of the annual Toronto International Film Festival Programme Guide.
