As the new Executive Artistic Director, Performing Arts, you will lead the strategic and artistic planning of the Performing Arts unit, ensuring development and overseeing delivery of the artistic strategy for the City’s three performing arts venues.

Leading a high functioning management team, the Executive Artistic Director will work collaboratively to advance the artistic vision, creative and entrepreneurial direction, planning, fiscal oversight, and public relations and marketing strategy for the performing arts unit.

Your focus as Executive Artistic Director, Performing Arts will be leading the programming team to plan and present the artistic programming offer in line with the performing arts mission and mandate. You will first and foremost be the face of Brampton Theatres, interacting with the media and engaging with the community to represent the cultural future of the city.

You have a degree or diploma in Cultural / Arts Management, Performing Arts Administration or a related discipline, with a minimum of 7 years’ progressive leadership experience in the field. A relationship builder with public relations and negotiation skills, you can interact effectively with internal/ external key stakeholders, community groups, government agencies, public and private sector organizations, vendors and consultants.
