Pirate Life is a site-specific and interactive family theatre experience established in 2014. Our regular season runs May through October operating on weekends while school is in session, and 7 days a week during the summer.

Pirate Life is looking for a Front of House team member to join the crew. This role is the main point of contact for the audience for ticket sales and overall guest experience. The front of house team members must be engaging and animated, interacting with guests through a pirate persona. This role is for highly motivated individuals with strong communication skills and experience in customer service. This is an on-site position and will not have the opportunity to work from home.

Duties and Responsibilities:
-Daily on site management, meeting, greeting, checking in and engaging with guests
-Answering phone calls and emails, answering any questions guests may have including ticket sales, troubleshooting ticket issues, safety concerns, directions to parking, washrooms and restaurants in the area
-Ensuring the flow of the day and updating the captain and crew of daily happenings
-Opening and closing procedures including set up of the front of house cart, float, cashing out, related inventory keeping, hosting daily brief and five minute morning talk with cast and captain, inputting hours from previous day in payroll spreadsheet
-Handling merchandise, bar (must have their smart serve), ticket sales, inventory tracking
-Contacting the on call if an artist can not come in and assuming the outreach responsibilities for that day
-Supervising and maintaining site cleanliness with the artist, picking up and taking out trash, sanitizing props and commonly touched surfaces

Qualifications:
-Experience interacting with guests and patrons in the theatre community
-Comfortable working on an outdoor floating dock
-Must be able to speak, read and write in English fluently
-Comfortable with using Google Workspace
-Smart serve certified
-Exceptional customer service skills
-Strong leadership skills with the ability to work with a team
