Application Deadline: October 27, 2017 at 2:00 PM EDT
Term: Part-time (30 hours a week)

Generator builds the capacity of Toronto independent performing artists through mentorship and entrepreneurial skills training and plays an important role in assisting artists to develop the means to create and produce work. Generator’s programs aim to fill the gap created with more artists creating more work, with fewer formal tools. In this environment of entrepreneurship, Generator is a mentoring, teaching, and innovation incubator that empowers independent artists, producers and leaders who will shape the future of performance in Toronto
The Online Content Producer will primarily work on two community resources that Generator is launching: our ArtistProducerResource.com (set to launch early November) and our YouTube Channel. This position works closely with the Executive Director, Video Editor, Director of Coordination and Communications and the Generator artists, but definitely requires someone who has initiative and works well independently. The ideal candidate for this position is passionate about Toronto's live art scene, an independent worker and has great computer skills. They will be adept at using content and scheduling systems, comfortable tracking large amounts of information and offer a proven blend of editorial skills and technical know-how. They are comfortable with video editing software and have a working knowledge of HTML and experience editing websites. They likely graduated from theatre or film school and have a passion for getting things done. As they will be in charge of arranging and managing meetings and filming, punctuality, dependability and flexibility are crucial. The ability to self-motivate, meet deadlines and produce quality content is equally important.
Full Call for Submissions and Eligibility available on our website. This position is made possible with the support of CHRC and Young Canada Works.
