Contract position (12 months)


Expected start date: ASAP

Primary areas of responsibility:

  • Conduct international market research (supplier research, vendor procurement, designers);
  • Researching Technical talent (riggers, drafters, engineers), Scenic and Set Suppliers

  • Event coordination across Canada and abroad;
  • Production Assistance (creation, production, execution);
  • Liaising with creatives, suppliers, designers and production houses;
  • Creating and maintaining databases & project documents;
  • Preparing presentations and company proposals;
  • RFP’s, Internal Brief preparations and emailing / calling acquisition;
  • Proofing and editing documents and presentations for projects;
  • Scheduling and updating production calendars/timelines;
  • Establish action plans and timetables, and organize logistics;
  • Coordinating travel arrangements;
  • Support the Project Manager and all members of the project team with needs as they arise;
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Passion for the arts, performing arts and show biz industry is an absolute must;
  • Previous experience in performing arts, arts management and or event management is a strong asset;
  • Diploma in arts, production, project management or equivalent experience;
  • Previous experience with budgets, timelines, contracting;
  • Previous experience in arts management (travel management, on site coordination, stage management, production management, logistics);
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Ability to multitask and enjoy fast pace truly busy environment;
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral;
  • Superior research, record-keeping, and administrative skills;
  • Ability to work independently with short deadlines and in a busy environment;
  • Strong computer competence (MAC - pages, keynote, numbers);
  • Excellent organizational skills, sense of initiative and self-reliance;
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written;
  • Experience travelling, working and living abroad is a strong asset;
  • International travel is required, a valid passport is a must
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada
  • Evening and weekend work maybe required to meet deadlines
