TIFF, a vibrant not-for-profit arts organization, is hiring for the position of:


Reporting to the Production Manager, Festival Village and working within a large multi-departmental team, the Production Coordinator, Festival Village will be responsible for the coordination of logistics, equipment, programming, and supplies for the production and site management of programming and partner activations for Festival Village.

• Assist in the design and layout of internal site elements
• Maintain relations with property owners, community partners, the City of Toronto, and other stakeholders regarding site setup, access,
and use
• Collaborate with TIFF Festival departments, external partners and vendors to ensure project goals and timelines are met
• Assist in the coordination of stage programming
• Coordinate and maintain an integrated Festival Street production schedule
• Coordinate the dissemination of other key logistical documents
• Responsible for creating and maintain the supplies and services schedule
• Responsible for coordinating the suppliers to achieve the objectives of the production schedule
• Coordinate delivery, setup and install of rental equipment, signage and other supplies as required
• Maintaining inventory of supplies and equipment at all times and ensuring accurate returns
• Oversee interns, production staff, supervisors, and volunteers as required
• Assist in the recruitment and hiring of production staff and supervisors as required
• Assist in the creation of appropriate operations manuals and training for all Festival Street staff and volunteers

• Demonstrated experience in large event or festival production, logistics, or planning
• Excellent planning, organizational, and problem solving skills
• Experience obtaining bids and working with vendors
• Excellent verbal, written, and inter-personal communication skills
• Experience and knowledge of city regulations, departments, and services a strong asset
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and web-based file sharing
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Desire and ability to take initiative and coordinate projects
• Ability to work and respond well in fast-paced and high pressure environments
• Understanding and commitment to creating a superior product
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory abilities
