The York Region Arts Council (YRAC) is looking for a highly motivated Program Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will report to the Program Manager and Executive Director. Core responsibilities include working with YRAC partners, members and the local arts community to grow and implement YRAC programming including: Artrepreneur, Micro Grant Program, Arts Mentorship Program, Youth Committee and related initiatives. Your contribution will be in the execution of program structure, material development, recruitment of facilitators and supervision of in-class sessions. You will also have the opportunity to participate in the development of the organization’s brand and in executing strategies towards its 2020-2023 Strategic Plan. You will be a champion for building awareness, increasing engagement and ultimately have a hand in developing York Region as a vibrant place that supports the arts and creative entrepreneurship.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for implementing the annual program strategy, budget(s), work plans, timelines and key messages to ensure alignment between strategic plan, program and marketing objectives
  • Assist with program evaluation by collecting information needed to report on program KPI’s and other metrics
  • Review and revise Artrepreneur program curriculum to improve pedagogy and stay up-to-date with relevant industry trends
  • Revise and develop new Artrepreneur program materials as needed
  • Recruit, contract and coordinate facilitators and mentors, providing training deliverables and other information as needed
  • Attend in-class sessions and events, ensuring rooms are unlocked, setup for workshop/presentations, refreshments are purchased/setup, receive and introduce speakers
  • Administer the cloud-based project management system for program participant file sharing
  • Assist Program Manager and work with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns
  • Participate in outreach, trade show booths and speaking engagements at targeted events
  • Identify and actively seek out opportunities to provide additional, ongoing value to program participants (past and present) such as funding opportunities and other resources
