This is a ten month full time contract placement running from September 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017, with the possibility of an extension.

This position is responsible for assisting the Senior Programming Manager with the booking, contracting, and administrative activities for the main stage presentations and co-presentation programming of the Sony Centre.

Researching attractions and other areas relevant to programming and maintaining relationships with artists, agents, producers, promoters and partners.
Coordinating the Centre’s space usage booking system as it relates to risk programming
Working with Programming and Marketing departments to develop new programming opportunities
Manage Centre’s contractual commitments for risk programming as they relate to artists' local needs
Monitor and review estimate changes by department heads and suppliers; update budgets as required; maintain appropriate financial records concerning risk programming expenditures for settlement. Assist with funding applications.

Minimum education requirement of post-secondary degree in arts/business or relevant discipline
Extensive knowledge of entertainment industry and facility rental practices, event/production management an asset
Minimum experience two to five years in related position(s)
Good verbal communication skills, excellent written (editing & proofreading & details) skills, good selling/negotiation skills
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines
Experience with an event booking system, Ungerboeck - EBMS preferred
Experience with Ticketmaster and the ability to read and communicate in French an asset
