The Bentway offers year-round artistic, cultural, and recreational activities and events, including public art installations, seasonal and special exhibitions, theatre and musical performances, festivals, creative marketplaces, and more. The Bentway’s programming is accessible and participatory, exploring the site’s unique histories, features and possibilities.

Reporting to the Director of Programming, the Programming Production Manager will help to oversee and execute an annual calendar of events that both enlivens the Bentway site and engages with a broad, diverse set of users.

The Manager will oversee the logistical, technical, and operational requirements of the Bentway’s internally produced events, installations, performances, and workshops, as well as key partner events. The Manager will play an important role in building strong communications and relationships with local and international artists, fabricators and suppliers, technical partners, and partner organizations and stakeholders.

- Post –secondary education in Event Management/Production or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in Event Management/Production in a multi-use facility
- Knowledge and experience with organization and event management/production, visual arts, multidisciplinary performance, and installations.
- Demonstrated experience working with multiple partners, artists and artistic companies from project conceptualization through to presentation, and take-down.
- Previous on-site experience with supervision of staff, suppliers and volunteers.
- Proven ability to liaise effectively with a wide spectrum of stakeholders, including artists, fabricators, and technical crew.
- Ability to think creatively, conceive, and implement new ideas.
- Experience creating event floor plans and drawings.
- Ability to simultaneously work on multiple projects with various deadlines and competing priorities.
- Ability to work nights/weekends and holidays as assigned.
