A humorous, large-cast play with music, song & dance by award-winning playwright, Shirley Barrie, based on the traumas and triumphs of Canada’s turn-of-the-20th century, international starlet – the flamboyant, tenacious actor MARIE DRESSLER from rural Cobourg, Ontario. Her long and checkered career as a self-effacing, physical comedian catapults through roadshows, vaudeville, Broadway, silent films, roles with Charlie Chaplin and Greta Garbo ,and an Oscar in 1932 in a “talkie”.

Both non-union and union directors are welcome to apply. CAEA directors will be considered under Amateur Policy Contract. Cast is non-union. We are also seeking a non-union Music Director and Choreographer.
