TIFF is seeking a Senior Publicist who is responsible for keeping TIFF at the forefront of the media landscape and online conversation. The publicist will help connect TIFF with key media and influencers across film, entertainment and lifestyle outlets; building and feeding into integrated communications campaigns for TIFF Bell Lightbox year-round programming and the Toronto International Film Festival.
Working with direction from the Senior Manager Communications, the Senior Publicist will be tapped into the changing landscape of public relations and understand the increasing impact influencers will have on framing media campaigns and popular opinion.
The right candidate will have a robust network of proven contacts and will possess exceptional instincts for storytelling. They will have knowledge and experience of bringing long and short lead stories to life within new and traditional media; and generate engaged and intelligent conversation within a local, national and international influencer community. A positive attitude and open mind are key character traits of the person who will take on this role.
