Theatre Ontario is seeking an Education Assistant to assist our Professional Theatre and Education Manager with the preparation of our annual adult summer theatre courses and to support our membership and communications departments and Youth Advisory Committee.

Key duties include: maintaining a computer spreadsheet of participants’ information, preparing and updating forms, processing payments, preparing and sending out information packages, preparing class lists, name tags, and certificates, and performing the Professional Theatre and Education Manager’s administrative duties when out of the office.

This is a 35 hours/week, 7 week program paying $11.00 per hour starting July 4, 2016 and finishing August 19, 2016. In order to apply you must be currently enrolled in a secondary or post-secondary institution or within 6 months of graduation. Age requirements are from 15 - 24 *(up to 29 for persons with a disability). Skills required: an interest in theatre, customer service experience, good communication skills (written and verbal), research skills, and strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Experience with social media marketing is an asset, but not required.
