Fall for Dance North (FFDN) is Toronto’s premier international dance festival.
FFDN’s fifth anniversary festival will run from October 2-6, 2019 . Our festival has a vibrant and growing team, eager to work with the next generation of arts workers.

The Volunteer Coordinator will assume responsibilities for recruitment, planning, training and supervision of all FFDN volunteers. This opportunity will give the successful candidate a chance to exercise managerial skills, contributing to the smooth operation of the fifth edition of FFDN.

-Manage all FFDN Volunteers (approximately 100).
-Plan and schedule volunteer positions and shifts before and during the festival, at venues across the city.
-Assist FFDN staff to develop and facilitate Volunteer Orientation sessions, as well as planning and leading advanced training for FOH Volunteers and Team Leaders.
-Support Front of House managers at Ryerson Theatre and Sony Centre (soon to be Meridian Hall) with supervision and leadership of volunteers, as needed.
-Demonstrate strong and consistent communication with all volunteers and FFDN staff through email, phone and in person.

-Leadership experience in volunteer management/performing arts/events management.
-Strong written and verbal communication skills.
-Very well organized and detail oriented, with ability to multitask.
-Strong interpersonal skills, positive attitude and adaptable personality.
-Knowledge of the Toronto downtown core is an asset.
-Experience using a volunteer database is an asset.

September 3 - October 6. Part time during prep period. Full-time during festival week (Sept. 30-Oct. 6)
