POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Audience Services Manager, this position provides excellence in customer service and supervision to audience service staff. Work will take place at Berkeley Theatre, Bluma Appel Theatre, Shakespeare in High Park and other venues as needed.

Major responsibilities:

  • Ensure exemplary patron service is provided by audience service staff at all times
  •  Work without supervision during show duty shifts including liaising with FOH staff at all locations
  • Oversee subscription and single ticket orders over the phone and in-person at Berkeley Street Theatre, Bluma Appel Theatre and other venues as they present themselves
  • Ensure all policies are followed for tickets sales, exchanges and returns
  • Ensure staff are knowledgeable about the specific details of each event
  • Identify opportunities to improve service levels and make recommendations
  • Resolve patron concerns
  • Oversee ASRs as they prepare and balance deposit and float at end of shift
  • Provide reports and event support to audience services management, internal clients and external clients as required, and ensure accuracy in reporting
  • Provide input to department management to evaluate ASR’s performance
  • Perform box office closing duties as required
  • Maintain tidiness and cleanliness of all communal work areas
  • Provide feedback to management with respect to client and patron comments and report to management, developing solutions wherever possible
  • Work at off-site box office locations as scheduled
  • Data entry tasks, reception, and other duties as required

Hours and Expectations

  • Workweek is generally Tuesday to Saturday. However, hours are subject to programming and performance schedule and therefore may vary from week to week including some evenings and weekends
  • Vacation may only be taken during non-performance periods
