Sparrow House Children’s Theatre
Anastasia Pavlovich, Executive Director

Evolving from the 15-year legacy of Humpty Dumpty Puppet Theatre, Sparrow House becomes a vibrant cultural voice—earning four Dora Mavor Moore Award nominations in 2025 for excellence in performance and desing and recognition for its commitment to children’s emotional literacy, empathy, and inclusion.
Led by Executive Director Anastasia Pavlovich—an international producer of children’s animation and theatre (Sorbonne, TAP/EAVE)—Sparrow House is on an exciting journey to establish a new venue in East Toronto, a permanent home “where stories will take flight.
The name Sparrow House carries a heartwarming story: inspired by the small, fearless sparrow—curious, resilient, and always finding its song—the theatre celebrates the courage within every child to imagine, to feel, and to belong.

Sparrow House blends puppetry, live music, and storytelling to create immersive theatre that nurtures both creativity and connection. The company continues to develop new community- engaged projects, including “Behind the Screen: Healing Digital Bullying Through Puppetry,” which will bring artists, educators, and children together to explore kindness and digital empathy through art.
With past performances at SickKids Hospital, Fringe KidsFest, and Puppets Up!
International Festival, Sparrow House stands as a growing cultural beacon, building the foundation for Toronto’s first dedicated hub for children and families, where every story matters and every voice can soar.
Sparrow House is more than a theatre—it’s a promise to every child that imagination, kindness, and courage can shape the world around them.
