Superior Description Services is a disability-led audio description company dedicated to making live performing arts and spaces accessible to all. Blind, low-vision, and neurodiverse audiences all benefit from rich, intentional description — and we bring that same quality to theatres, architectural spaces, events, and gatherings.
As a disability-led organization, lived experience is at the heart of everything we do — going beyond compliance and into genuine, meaningful inclusion. We are innovating the field by building an Inclusive Writers Room, a collaborative space where talented describers develop their skills and push the boundaries of what audio description can be.
Our offerings are both synchronous — real-time, live description for performances and events — and asynchronous, including podcast production and pre-recorded content that audiences can access on their own terms. Whatever the space, whatever the format, we work to ensure no one is left out of the experience.
