Brandon Crone (they/he) is a queer, agender, multidisciplinary artist and administrator currently a treaty land inhabitant of Tkarón:to. They are the author of fifive, produced plays (Turtleneck, Donors, Maypole Rose, Nature of the Beast, Contempt) and have participated in residencies and readings with The Stratford Festival of Canada, National Arts Centre and Urban Stages (NYC). Most recently, they directed the Canadian and Australian premiere of For Both Resting and Breeding written by Adam Meisner. (www.safeword.ca), they have created and produced multiple arts programs and workshops including: Flip the Script! Summer Symposium Series; Head, Heart, Gut: The Foundations of Trauma-Informed Practice; Decolonizing Dramaturgy: Theatremakers from Africa In Conversation; and the upcoming 2SLGBTQ+ Arts Jam for queer and trans youth in Simcoe County. They have worked with Mirvish Productions, CBC, CBS, Canadian Film Centre, Art Gallery of Ontario, Theatre Passe Muraille, Theatre New Brunswick, Theatre Aquarius, Theatre by the Bay and Sudbury Theatre Centre to name a few. They currently work as the Communications and Outreach Coordinator at the Playwrights Guild of Canada where they are spearheading the Two-Spirit, Transgender, Non-Binary Steering Committee with Avery-Jean Brennan. Brandon is a graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada and Humber College’s Arts Administration and Cultural Management program.
