Esther Jun currently is an Artistic Associate and the director of The Langham Directors’ Workshop at the Stratford Festival. She originally trained as an actor in NYC and completed her directing degree at Drama Centre London, UK in 2006. She has directed shows across Canada and will be directing I am Willam, by Rébecca Déraspe at the Stratford Festival in summer 2021. From 2016-18 she was the Assistant Artistic Director at Tarragon Theatre; in 2020 & 2016 she was part of the Michael Langham Workshop for Classical Direction in Stratford; in 2015 she was a Neil Munro Intern Director at the Shaw Festival. She also co-created and is the Co-Artistic Director of Directors Lab North, the Canadian offshoot of the Lincoln Centre’s Directors Lab.
