Robert Missen, Headshot

Robert Missen celebrates his fiftieth year in the performing arts, and forty-fifth year as a member of CAEA this year. After twenty years as a professional singer/actor, during which time he co-founded what has now become Tapestry Opera, he launched Robert Missen Artists, which became one of the country’s most distinguished purveyors of classical, jazz, world music, musical theatre, dance, comedy and spoken word. He has produced over ten commercial productions of plays and musicals. He presented over 100 superlative evenings of cabaret during his two years co-producing the Green Door Cabaret with Lower Ossington Theatre. His next theatrical project, assuming that the COVID gods permit, will be a December Ontario tour of Charles Dickens’ solo touring version of A Christmas Carol with RH Thomson. In March 2022 he launches his new initiative Words and Music Toronto, which will feature an eclectic mix of cabaret, musicals and operas in concert, art song, partsongs, Bach cantatas, singer-songwriters and multi-media presentations.
