Susan Wright was Deputy Director of Toronto Arts Council and Toronto Arts Foundation where she worked from 2000-2023. In this role, Susan advocates for support for artists and arts organizations with City Council and offers strategic and policy leadership at TAC and TAF. She currently sits on a number of external committees including IRAFF (Intergovernmental Forum for Arts Funders and Foundations), and CADAC (Canada Arts database). Susan’s other responsibilities at TAC and the Foundation include financial management, partnerships, human resources and general operations. Prior to joining TAC, Susan spent five years as General Manager of Toronto Artscape, and many years as an arts consultant and manager of small arts organizations.
