The first ever performance training program for teens at the Toronto Fringe.
What is Teen Fringe?
Teen Fringe is a new youth arts initiative for teens aged 13-17. The program is created by the Toronto Fringe in partnership with Scadding Court Community Centre and Edge of the Sky, the creative team from the award-winning Wexford Gleeks and the Fringe hits Summerland, The Fence, and Blood Ties.
The program will take place during the 2017 Toronto Fringe Festival and invites young artists to train with leading professionals in acting, singing and dancing. These young artists will then form a youth ensemble and take the stage at the closing night performance of Edge of the Sky’s 2017 Toronto Fringe Production.
The Teen Fringe program includes:
- 5 full days of training with leading theatre, music and dance professionals.
- Final performance as part of Edge of the Sky’s closing night show at the 2017 Toronto Fringe.
- Free Rush Pass to all 2017 Toronto Fringe productions.
How do I apply?

What are auditions like?
Auditionees will be required to prepare: 1) a monologue of your choosing, 2) a song from the Musical Theatre Repertoire list below. Artists will also be asked to learn a basic dance routine and to bring a photo to the audition.
Auditionees must consult the Teen Fringe Audition Guide for full details on audition requirements and bring a printed copy of the form to your auditions.

How much does it cost?
