The Toronto Fringe is accepting proposals from artists, performers, musicians, collectives, and more with ideas for interactive activations for patrons to enjoy and take part in at the Fringe Patio during the 2018 Toronto Fringe Festival (July 4-15).
The Fringe Patio is located in the parking lot and hockey rink of the Scadding Court Community Centre (707 Dundas Street West, at Dundas and Bathurst). It is Toronto’s largest pop-up patio and sees thousands of visitors through the space. Programming includes free events, live music, local food vendors, and a licenced bar.
Activations will be created, set up, and run by the artist(s) during scheduled times throughout the 12 days of the festival. These activations should be accessible to all patrons who are interested in participating. No fees can be charged for participating in an activation, but artists are encouraged to ask participants for donations after their experience. Activations can be one-on-one experiences, group activities, and/or drop-in.
Any and all ideas will be considered! We welcome very creative, unique engagements for our patrons to experience at the Fringe Patio. Think outside the box, and pitch us!
