The program is a paid opportunity to receive training and mentorship while taking part in the creation of, and participating in, a large-scale Outside the March production.
A small group of emerging artists will serve as Artistic Accomplices on Jerusalem, gaining hands-on experience creating and producing immersive theatre. Among other responsibilities, they will serve as the audience’s guides through Jerusalem’s immersive pre-show sequence.
In addition, Accomplices will take part in a series of talkback sessions and workshops with established artists in Outside the March’s creative team and network. Each Accomplice will also receive a dedicated one-on-one mentorship with a senior artist from the Jerusalem team in a discipline of their choosing—acting, directing, producing, design, etc.
Since 2013, dozens of emerging theatre artists have taken part in Outside the March’s Artistic Accomplice program, working on immersive theatre experiences like Passion Play, Vitals, Mr. Burns and TomorrowLoveTM.
