Event date: March 30th, 2018
We are currently taking submissions for an evening of live story telling.
Looking to curate an evening featuring five to seven stories to be told live in front of a audience in a downtown café/bar & community events space.
Each story slot will be roughly ten minutes (although this is flexible!).
The night will also feature live music by a wonderful three piece rock/folk band.
We are looking for stories based around the theme of "Am I an adult now?", centering on childhood, growing up, and learning. However this is purposely open ended so you can approach this theme any way you want.
Performances and stories can include relevant music, visuals, audio, etc. - We are open to a wide variety of forms and will try to accommodate.
Ideally we are looking for submissions from artists who would like to perform their story live, however you can also have the option of having your story read live by another performer!
Deadline: February 23rd 5pm
While this is not a paid opportunity we do offer feedback, rehearsal time, promotion, and a great chance for networking and meeting other artists in the field.
Kindly direct all submissions (or general inquires) to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please include your:
- any relevant experience (this can include a headshot and resumé, if you wish)
- a brief (few paragraphs tops!) summary of the story you intend to submit
