Deadline: November 23, 2020
An artist-driven, mentor-supported creative model, returns for its 15th year, with new leadership and a new focus on both artistic development and producing skills. Emerging Creators Unit looks for queer and/or trans artists who have an ability to work independently, are interested in creating original, theatrical work, and are ready to take their practice to the next level.
This year's program, led by Tawiah M'Carthy (Obaaberima, Black Boys) and associate director Philip Geller, is an intensive, process-focused opportunity that includes mentorship, masterclasses, and a paid development period, with the opportunity for the artists to share their work at our annual Queer Pride Festival.
