Title: D’Arcy Symposium (Maison D’Art)
D’Arcy Symposium is having it’s first annual art party in a 120 year old house by Grange Park featuring emerging Toronto artists working in multiple mediums. The alleyway, backyard, and all three floors will be dedicated to an electric, adventurous, night featuring contemporary painting, drawing, sculpture and installation, as well as music and works of theatre and performance. Food and drinks will also be available from local vendors. Entry is PWYC. Come and celebrate Toronto’s love for the arts. We’ll see you there.
D’Arcy Symposium (Maison D’art) seeks two short theatre, dance, or performance art pieces at least 15 min. in length and at most 30 min, and up to 6 short performances of 5 min. or less for the White Box Space on the top floor of the building. The general theme of the May 26 show is “One Night” – to explore community, friends and adventure – however applicants are not required to restrict themselves to this suggested theme.
An on-site coordinator and technician will be available in the week leading up to May 26; dress and technical rehearsals will be held May 25, with one 3-hour technical rehearsal and one 1-hour dress rehearsal allotted to each performance 15-30 min. performance. Along with your proposal, please submit specific technical requirements or requests and the performance coordinator will happily dialogue with you in order to make it (or a near approximation) happen.
Some additional rehearsal time in the space may be available at the discretion of the performance coordinator.
We look forward to hearing from you and seeing your projects come to life!

We will be contacting you April 25th about the installations and process in more detail if you are selected.
