HATCH is now accepting proposals from artists, collectives and companies for the 2016 programme – HATCH 12, curated by Evan Webber.
HATCH is a situation where new performances and new audiences encounter one another in the spirit of inquiry. A flexible performing arts residency centred on the proscenium stage of the 180-seat Studio Theatre, HATCH provides artists with resources including space and time in the theatre, production assistance, dramaturgy, communications and technical support.
Residencies conclude with a public presentation. Participating artists are expected to attend each other’s presentations, provide critical feedback and engage with each other's thinking.
HATCH 12 runs from April 4 – May 1, 2016. In-theatre residencies for HATCH projects typically have a one-week duration but proposals for longer or shorter residencies will be accepted. Ask for what you want!
