Straeon Acting Studios, Montreal presents a Two-Day Voice Intensive taught by Actor / Designated Linklater Voice Teacher Sarah Weatherwax.

Find out what free feels like.

Feb. 8 & 9, 2020

Participants learn a wide range of exercises that encourage deep, inner relaxation even while the body is active and how that leads to vocal freedom. For actors, a free voice means listening more fully, responding more instinctively, being effected more deeply and transforming more easily and believably.

Day 1. VOICE & BODY
Learn exercises designed to relax and energize for work as well as quick ways to prep for auditions and performances. Exercises will include: spinal alignment, breath awareness, humming & freeing exercises, jaw, tongue, soft palate work, breathing power, resonators, range, articulation...

Day 2. VOICE & TEXT
After starting the day with a very complete warm up, students will receive in-depth, individual text coaching time. Group text exercises will also be explored. Coaching will come from a voice & body point of view. This work enables students to experience the direct application of Linklater voice work to acting.

Intended for career performers & career-minded actors/singers in training.
No previous voice training required.
