Your solo practice provides a daily landscape for your evolution as an artist. This daily discipline, physical/vocal meditation or ritual practice reminds you of your difference, your potential, your re-occurring barriers, your imagination and builds skills towards what you wish.

In these online sessions, you will have the opportunity to investigate and consider, during this unique time of physical isolation, the potential of our virtual connection.

How do we create the consciousness online that we have achieved and refined in our collective practice in the studio? What parts of my practice are hindered by an attempt to work virtually? What parts of my practice should be on my own? How, without physical contact, can we heal, restore and thrive?

These challenging questions are invited by these implausible times.

In the first hour, Gerry will begin each session by taking you through an aspect of solo practice creation. Within smaller break out groups, you will have opportunity to discuss your individual interests. Back in the full group, you will then share elements of your discussion and set some intentions around the creation of your individual solo practice.

Gerry will then be joined by a guest speaker who will share their unique approach to solo practice. These guest performers, artists, and teachers have dedicated a lifetime to refining their solo practice. In the final part of this first hour, Gerry will leave you with some solo practices to explore before the next session.

The second hour will be a gathering of the MVI alumni community, led by the MVI alumni committee.
