Have you ever had an idea that you thought would make a great play but didn't know how to begin?
Explore a series of writing exercises with Toronto playwright and actor Julie Tepperman that will help spark your imagination and give you strategies for generating new material - both dialogue and monologue. In order to delve deeper into your work and learn what makes something ‘playable’, Julie will facilitate on-your-feet improvisations, just like an actor working with new material in a workshop. There will be an emphasis on character development, relationships, how to keep the action driving forward and ways to keep the stakes high.
No previous playwriting experience necessary.
To apply for this workshop please send you name and resume/bio and a couple sentences about why you are interested in participating in this workshop to Meghan Hunt at firstname.lastname@example.org
