May 7, 10, 14, 17, 21, 24, 28, 31 from 6:30pm - 9:30pm each session
Clowns are best in pairs: double the idiocy, double the laughs. But how do you balance playing with your partner and playing with the audience?
In this workshop, students will learn how perform in a duo and how to craft a clown piece.
Students will hone their sense of complicity, learn the concept of major/minor and how to embrace the flop to “save the show” when necessary.
In creating turns, students will learn how to use rhythm, captivating stage pictures and effective storytelling to create a piece that surprises and delights their audience..
Each week students will be expected to present a turn with a partner. These pieces will be workshopped with Chloe and the group.
The workshop will end with a final soiree where students can share their creations with an audience.
We require that all participants have previous performance training. Please submit a short description of your experience.
