Deadline: September 20, 2019
Fall Voice Retreat for Actors with Actor/Designated Linklater Voice Teacher Sarah Weatherwax.
Friday, Oct. 4 to Sunday, Oct. 6, 2019.
At a waterfront cottage in the Kawarthas...
with a wrap-around porch...
Be one of the first to experience this unique actor-training opportunity.
Enjoy an intensive learning experience in a beautiful environment.
Let the clean air clear your lungs, your mind, your heart.
Spend an entire weekend developing your talent.
And doing little else.....
All meals and snacks provided. Gourmet, plant-forward cooking by Prince Edward County based chef Chris Byrne.
**Accommodations for those with severe food allergies will be made. **
Participants will learn a wide range of voice & body exercises that encourage relaxation on the inside of the body even while the outer layer of musculature is activated.
This inner freedom leads to an open state of readiness for acting, a state of body & voice that allows the actor to be present, to listen fully, be effected deeply and respond instinctively.
Each participant will receive individualized text coaching. Sonnets will be spoken into the wind, stories told by the river and songs sung by the bonfire...
When you leave this retreat, you will be a better actor than you were when you arrived.
And you will have many tools to continue to free your voice.
And, in all probability, you will leave simply feeling better about your body, your voice, your gifts...
A simple idea for a complex time.
